Vehicle Brands & Real-World Mapping

Rensselaer County uses entirely fictional brand names to avoid licensing issues, but each maps to a real-world manufacturer. The 34 known fictional brands include: Accele (Ferrari), Aculos (Acura), Altstadt (Audi), Bremen (BMW), Centaurus (Peterbilt), Centurus (International), Chicane (McLaren), Comrader (Dodge), Delton (Chevrolet), Envy (Infiniti), Eva (Kia), Fangio (Ferrari), GAM (GMC), Ganetto (Maserati), Gemini (Genesis), Hamotsu (Honda), Katzmann (Volkswagen), Koritsu (Toyota), Land Treker (Land Rover), Lexima (Lexus), Linco (Lincoln), Lyon (Jaguar), Marshall (Ford), Mita (Mitsubishi), Mizuhara (Mazda), Neptune (Saturn), Nesumi (Nissan), Revasser (Cadillac), Revolt (Tesla), Roamer (Jeep), Senseon (Hyundai), Shatoku (Subaru), Sternauster (Mercedes-Benz), and Turismo (Porsche).

Vehicle Tiers

Vehicles are organized into three tiers that determine price, availability, and Gamepass requirements. Regular tier vehicles are available to all players without any Gamepass — these include everyday sedans, trucks, and SUVs. Premium tier vehicles require the Premium Vehicles Permit (200 Robux) or the Performance Vehicles Permit (400 Robux) for sports cars and supercars. Special/Emergency tier includes law enforcement vehicles (NYSP, EGPD, SWAT, DOT, EGFD) that require specific job access or the Premium Law Enforcement Gamepass.

The Apex Auto Dealership

The main dealership is called Apex Auto, based on the real-world Lia Toyota of Colonie in New York. It features 415 parking spots, a 3D showroom interface (completely revamped in Update 5.9.6), a service center, car wash, and collision center. The new dealership UI has three sections: categories (trucks, civilian, emergency), a detailed vehicle viewer with interactive lights and turn signals, and a trim/customization picker with real-time preview.

The cheapest vehicles start around $2,100. Sort by price ascending to find beginner-friendly options. Each vehicle offers multiple trim levels (base, mid, top) with different features, and you can choose exterior color, wheels, and other options before purchasing.

Update 5.9.6 Customization Overhaul

The August 2026 update (5.9.6) introduced a massive vehicle customization system. Players can now change transmission type (including 10-speed manual options), drivetrain (FWD/RWD/AWD), and add extensive accessories: mud flaps, roof racks, bike mounts, cargo boxes, running boards, rocker sliders, side molding, grill guards, window visors, and mirror styles. The customization UI has been compared to Forza in its depth and presentation.

New customization options also include paint finishes with realistic materials, wheel offset adjustment, front camber tuning, and suspension height changes. You can slam your car low or raise it for off-road stance. License plate customization includes scrolling through different state-style plates, plate frames, front plate removal, and rear plate darkening covers. New Vehicles in Update 5.9.6

Update 5.9.6 added 20+ new and updated vehicles with 120+ unique trims. Confirmed additions include: a fictional Honda Passport (with towing package and multiple trims including Ridge, Trail Runner, and Prestige variants), a fictional Mercedes S-Class (with AMG, SMG, and Maybach variants), F-250/F-350 dually trucks, Ford Fusion (2016 and 2020 models), Chevrolet Tahoe (with hybrid trim), Suburban, Avalanche (with off-road and executive trims), and Chevrolet Impala. Some older vehicles were removed or refreshed as part of the update.

New police vehicles were also added, including a 2026 fictional Silverado in undercover configuration. The update also introduced new house types and neighborhoods alongside the vehicle additions.
